Founded in 1959 amidst the backdrop of Nigeria’s impending independence, The Metropolitan Club emerged as a bastion of elite camaraderie and intellectual exchange. Initially conceived as a haven for gentlemen to engage in open discussions on matters of public policy and social concern, the club’s evolution has been marked by a progressive opening of its doors to the wider public.
In a series of meticulously planned phases, The Metropolitan Club underwent a comprehensive refurbishment to usher in a new era of luxury and sophistication. From the Reception to the Family Dining Room and Patio, each space was imbued with a blend of opulence and simplicity, providing a sanctuary of relaxation amidst the bustling heart of Lagos city.
With a keen eye for detail, our design team embarked on a journey to harmonize the club’s illustrious history with contemporary aesthetics. From the moment guests step into the revamped reception area, they are enveloped in an atmosphere of refined elegance, accentuated by carefully selected furniture, lighting, and décor elements.
Drawing inspiration from The Metropolitan Club’s rich heritage, our design scheme aimed to seamlessly integrate traditional charm with modern sensibilities. Through meticulous attention to every corner of the establishment, we sought to create an ambiance that pays homage to the club’s prestigious legacy while offering a truly unforgettable experience for its members and guests alike.
